I love being the host of the Stewardship Weekly podcast!

In this episode I had the great pleasure of speaking with author Rob Kuban about his newest book “the Secret of Generosity”. Just released on Dec 1st, Rob has already been interviewed numerous times to share his thoughts on how love, worship and service are all interwoven into this broader topic of generosity.

I was first introduced to Rob through his blog ‘Dollars & Doctrine’ when I followed a link from another site for a group referred to as the ‘Christian Financial Alliance (CFA). It was back in July and I was starting to actively seek new friends online with whom I could interact and learn from. The 20 points within the CFA (each one supported by numerous bible verses) that form the framework that each member agrees to adhere to were obviously chosen by Rob in a very careful manner to keep each writer accountable to God. The alliance is an excellent idea and hopefully it will attract more participants as more people are made aware of it.

This is not Rob’s first book. His initial work, printed back in 2008, is a complete & challenging “analysis of what the Bible teaches regarding all thing financial”. Entitled ‘Dollars and Doctrine’, it is a categorized handbook that covers such topics as; giving, saving, debt, investing, poverty, prosperity, work, motivation, retirement and more. It was this book that formed the basis for Rob’s blog that bears the same name.

After printing his first book and starting the blog, Rob turned his attention towards his next work. Realizing that believers had become engulfed in the shallow, never-ending pursuits of the world, he wrote about how we can claim the abundant life God has promised us. Appropriately titled ‘Christ-Centered Contentment’, the pages are filled with wisdom on thoughts about true peace, overcoming difficulties, meaningful satisfaction & the joy of choosing infinite gratification.
